Meet the Team | Funsho Osinoiki
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Funsho! I am a trainee maths teacher with a passion to learn about and implement all things sustainable and ethical. I was introduced to this after taking a geography module titled 'World in Crisis?'. In my spare time, I manage a YouTube channel called 'Girl on The Way', where I create home sustainability videos, with the aim of informing my audience about ethical and environmentally friendly lifestyle alternatives. I am also launching my own ethical and sustainable skin care and home care business in a few months.
What I believe in
I believe that if more people understand that there is an affordable alternative to fast fashion, then attitudes will begin to shift. I have faith that as more people realise the true cost of the fashion industry, they will vote with their money and hold big brands accountable.
Why SFW?
I wanted to be part of this organization because I want to learn all I can about living more sustainably! SFW is the place to be; as part of the team or attending their events. It is a community of like-minded people who are doing their part in spreading the word about ethical alternatives.
What I do for SFW
I am a Digital Programme Lead for SFW, which means that I design and coordinate digital content to be used on the SFW website and on the social media platforms.
3 Favourite items in my wardrobe
Grey Summer Skirt – Found this in a charity shop in Bristol for a few pounds! It’s so breezy and is easily paired with different outfits. I always look forward to summer, so I can wear it again.
Black Brogues – I am in love with these brogues from Collection & Co. - a Bristol based ethical store. They are made from upcycled materials and are so versatile and durable.
Denim Jeans – A second-hand gift from a friend who had grown out of them. It’s always great to have a pair of durable trousers that can be easily styled.
