Introducing our Hub partner in Belfast, hosted by Another World Belfast!
Another World Belfast is a not for profit CIC which funds the charity Show Some Love. They build practical projects, events and spaces to unite the diverse community and provide aid for people who are experiencing hardship. Established in 2017, AWB is a fiercely independent charity and is comprised of artists and activists whose mission is to create a lasting impact for marginalised people and our planet. Entirely dependent on donations and volunteers, Another World Belfast has donated over 200,000 items to their communities in Belfast and beyond.
Show Some Love Green House
Powered by Becky Bellamy and Connor Kerr from Another World Belfast CIC. Show Some Love Green House is a collaborative artist studio, sustainable fashion hub, creative shared space, inclusive community workshops and events venue. Situated on Victoria street, close to St George’s market, this creative hub is for those not only seeking a space to make and learn but creates room to forge meaningful connections. The Green House will be the hub for all SFW Hub Belfast’s Sustainable Fashion Week activities - take a look at the programme here.
The Show Some Love Green House is breathing new life into discarded materials, particularly expired and damaged clothing. The team embraces all fabrics, from household to commercial, and woven materials, ensuring sustainability is at the heart of creation. As the Show Some Love Green House unfolds, it will bring together communities from across the city to join hands in weaving the fabric of a more sustainable, interconnected, and mentally resilient Belfast.
Love Pack
The Love Pack project collects and distributes much needed toiletries and underwear for local people. These are named because they donate items in sprayed up tote bags or ‘Love packs’, which are specially made up based on the needs of the recipients. These are distributed via their Free Store project and local community groups & charities.
Free Store
Free Store is a ‘first of its kind’ clothing bank. Set up as a full shopping experience, visitors can pick up everything from underwear, right through to a warm coat, and everything in between, all free of charge. AWB partners with local charities to provide the practical stuff, as well as fashionable items provided in a dignified and fun entertainment.
Fashion Flea
The regular pop up fashion flea is another unique offering to Belfast City centre, is our engine and helps to fund AWB operations. The gorgeous store offers the best quality, curated RELOVED clothing, with £5 off if you bring in something in saleable condition to swap. They also sell beautiful branded giftware and merch for your socially conscious purchases of treats and gifts.
