‘Made in UK’ ?
No one will be shocked to hear that Boohoo has been putting 'Made in UK' labels on clothing actually manufactured overseas.
Boohoo have been shipping in hundreds of thousands of plain hoodies and t-shirts from Pakistan and other South Asian countries. They have then been swapping the labels and printing on them in their only Leicester factory.
The fast-fashion brand said this was simply a misinterpretation. Now this isn't the first time we have heard about brands finishing off a garment in one country and swapping the label over, but we are hoping it will be one of the last! Do you know any other companies pulling these dodgy tactics?
