JOIN US FOR A SFW PLANNING MEETING

Sustainable Fashion Week is back this September and we’re excited for it to be our biggest year yet.

Following on from feedback received last year, we wanted to be more available for Hubs and Community Event hosts to chat through their ideas, ask questions and get support where they need it. New for this year, we have mapped out a series of meetings, both online and in person, that provide the opportunity for us to better connect, collaborate and converse with people who want to take fashion action.

Between April - September, we’re hosting drop-in style sessions where you can ask questions and connect with other changemakers in the lead up to the programme launch.

If you’re new to Sustainable Fashion Week, there’s lots of ways to be involved. You could host an event for your local community linked to fashion and sustainability, such as a clothes swap where people can refresh their wardrobes and keep clothing in use for longer, or a drop-in mending circle, where folks can share tips and knowledge on basic mending techniques. Through the years, we’ve had amazing events range from sustainable fashion catwalks, to upcycling workshops, to panel discussions, sustainable film screenings and even climate assemblies! It can be as big or small as you like - as long as it’s engaging, accessible, inspiring and linked to clothing, it’s welcome.

We have a brilliant ‘Taking Part’ deck which outlines a bit more about us as an organisation, previous programmes and ways to be involved which you can find here.

Take a look at last year’s programme for inspiration here.
